City Solutions division is responsible for developing sustainable city solutions into a growing business for Fortum. The division comprises heating and cooling, waste-to-energy, recycling and expertise sales.

 

Heating and Cooling main operations in Finland are within Espoo district heating network area where we produce both heating and cooling and thereby related services to our customers. We are currently in a major transformation phase where achieving our Clean Heat targets are reshaping our operating environment and ways of working extensively. Your role as Head of Customer

In this role you have the overall responsibility of Customer management of our Heating & Cooling business in Finland. You lead a team of around 20 sales, marketing and product management professionals all working with high ambition levels to reach our decarbonization and business goals. As a Head of Customer your responsibility is to lead well planned transformation on all areas of customer function targeting to further improve our market leader position on selected market segments (B2B). This includes developing and optimizing customer journey, experience, and the overall relationship to achieve desired results. As the strategy is to transform the heating and cooling business towards carbon neutral solutions, also sales processes, product management and marketing are developed aligning Espoo Clean Heat program. Head of Customer is a key account manager for City of Espoo.

What we expect from you

We expect you to be a senior leader with proven record in leading a business organization with a focus on sales and key account management. You hold a university level degree and are fluent in Finnish and English. To be successful in this role, you do not necessarily need to have experience from the energy/utilities field, but it is seen as an advantage. Strong leadership skills and passion for understanding importance of data for driving better decisions together with strong conceptual thinking are required to establish influential storylines for customers and external senior stakeholders. You have a commercial acumen and deep understanding of customer base and competitive market, and ability to drive the business towards optimized commercial performance. You enjoy and are competent in networking and co-operating within both internal and external stakeholders.
