Area Manager – BMW Northern Europe, Finland

The Area Manager Sales Finland takes overall responsibility for the daily correspondence between the dealerships and BMW Group Finland. The Area Manager oversees the dealers’ operational efficiency while informing and consulting them about BMW Group Northern Europe’s overall strategy and business plan.

The main functions of the role are coaching and encouraging dealers to maximize business processes, customer satisfaction, volume and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Improving dealers’ operational efficiency:
  • by implementing and following up on sales processes
  • by defining and reaching targets on profitability, volume and customer satisfaction
  • by planning production together with dealers 
  • by establishing an overall business plan with budgets, market and activity plans, etc.
  • Ensuring that dealers have the right personnel, financial and local resources to reach their targets
  • To initiate and carry out activities to increase sales
  • To analyze sales development, profitability and results per dealer and when required, initiate action plans.

Pre-Requisites for the position:

  • Work experience in dealership business
  • Proven track record in the automotive industry and sales driven business
  • University diploma with a qualification in business or marketing is a benefit
  • Very good negotiation skills
  • Fluent in Finnish and English; other Nordic languages are a benefit

You are a self-starter with good communication skills, an initiative taker in your own right as well as a true team player. You are service-minded, a good communicator with excellent social skills both externally with clients, as well as internally with your colleagues. You have an excellent feel for brands and understand brand behavior. You are also flexible, as the position allows you to travel extensively – sometimes outside of the regular working hours. The position is located in Vantaa, with extensive travel within the dedicated region.
